It is very good situated. near Termini station, the room on the 5th floor was excellent, with 3 balcony, hotel staff was very kind and helpful, breakfast ok, bathroom cleaned everyday with new towels, many blankets, and the triple has a sauna.
The neighborhood was very scary by night ... been 3 ladies alone near the railway station, wasn't safe at all. In the last morning there wasn't hot water in the bathroom. Don't know why?!

Very convenient, close to central station of Rome and restaurants. The staff is helpful and friendly. The facilities are comfortable for staying several days. Value for the money!
Only have wifi in public area, no wifi in rooms.

This was our second time at Hotel Aquarium. We love the place. Although the surrounding streets look a bit dodgy, we've always felt safe walking around the area day and night and it's conveniently close to Rome's main railway station. There are a few good inexpensive restaurants a minute's walk down the street. The staff at Hotel Leonardo are very friendly and the rooms are clean. There is an espresso machine in the foyer so you can get a coffee at anytime.

The only good thing was the friendly and helpful staff that were able to give us touristic informations.
It was a big mistake to have chosen this hotel. This hotel caught my attention because it is very close to the Termini Station, with the reasonable price compared with the surroundings hotels. However, neither the room or the hotel were good. It was a dark room with no light enough inside the apartment. Unlike published on the site, there was no television in the bedroom. It was not a comfortable place. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable and old. Room service forgot to provide basic items such as toilet paper. And the worst thing was that the shower drain was clogged. The shower water was long to heat and it had little pressure. While she was warming up, the whole bathroom was flooded because the drain was clogged. Despite the notice that we did to the staff, the hotel didn't get to fix it while our staying. Neither provide other suite to us on the same day. Apparently they don’t do check list before new guests entry. We were very disappointed with the breakfast as well. In fact it was very poor. The photos of the hotel on the website was really deceiving. It was really completely different from our room. It is really a bad value for money. The worst hotel I have stayed in whole Europe. I really didn't expect a hotel with this price could be so bad. Pitiful!

Friendly staff spoke English well. Didn't mind me getting them up at 5am to check out though I should have organised it the night before. Very close to Termini (Main rail station in Rome).

Excellent Staff; they all spoke English well, and even went out of their way to help us find a camera shop to replace our charger. The tourist info center didn't do as well a job as the staff. Also, breakfast is served 0800-1000 each morning but we were leaving at 0700 for an early start. The staff still stopped to give us a croissant and drink before we left. Highly recommended for it's location next to the Termini and the low price.
If they had air conditioning, we couldn't tell. All we had was a tower fan next to the bed.

Location, staff, "quality-price" ratio. We had only 2 days in Rome and the hotel was an ideal start point for our journeys across the city. The room was clean and larger than we had in 4*-hotel in Nice.
Terrible noise from subway and from cars at night. But maybe we just had a room with bad noise insulation.

Functional hotel, if you need nice an clean place to go to sleep in the end of the day, this is the place for you. Breakfast is basic but tasty. Nice staff. 1 minute walk from termini.
Small window in the room, pretty old furniture and facilities.

the staff though old people were helpful and funny
The facade of the entrance is like a corridor for different apartments. It is very old and the way going to rooms is like a labyrinth, so many doors to enter.Breakfast room was tiny and has no windows. I got claustrophobic.

Hotel Aquarium is located near the central public transport hub of Rome, Termini station. The staff was very friendly, as they were able to help us in giving good advice on where to eat out. The room had air condition which made the stay in the hotel comfortable in the summer heat. I would return back for another weekend trip.
